The annual ECB Get Set Weekend (formerly known as CricketForce Day) takes place across Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th March.
At MCC, we're aiming to get as much as possible done on the Saturday, with anything left over being picked up before the start of the season.
The day will start at 9am, with plenty of varying tasks to go at. Attendees will be provided with a breakfast bap, and tea and coffee will flow throughout the day. If you can spare a few hours on the day, please do come along.
To allow us to plan effectively, please let us know if you will be attending by emailing mottramcricket@gmail.com, or contacting Michael Beech or Nigel Corless.
The day will go ahead regardless of the weather, although painting based tasks may be postponed.
As follows:
- Lay flags beneath benches around the outfield
- Move white covers from nets to hard standing
- Pressure wash sightscreens
- Clean and install panels on sight screens near nets.
- Painting of wooden benches and gates (Subject to weather)
- Put up all sponsor boards
- Pressure wash wooden fence and patio
- Sorting of cricket equipment shed
- Fix guttering on clubhouse
- Tidying, cleaning and painting of both dressing rooms
- Sorting of kitchen cupboards etc
