FRIDAY NIGHT TRAINING
Despite the odd weather cancellation interrupting us in July, Friday Night Training has continued to be as busy, fun and productive as always.
With the weather looking like it’s improving over the next week or so, we will be carrying on the Friday Night Sessions throughout the rest of August with the final Friday Night session being held on Friday 1st September.
We recently had a visit from Active Tameside who very kindly filmed a trailer that showcases all the fun of a Mottram CC Friday Night. You can have a nosy at that HERE

JUNIOR PRESENTATION NIGHT
Mottram CC is pleased to confirm that our Junior Presentation Night will be held on Saturday 7th October at the club.
Covering the achievements of our U9s, 11s, 13s, 15s, 18s and Girls teams, it’s always a great night as we look back at the season and celebrate team and individual successes.
The night starts at 5.30pm with food served and an absolutely world-class raffle.
JUNIOR TEAM SEASON ROUND-UP
With the junior fixtures now slowly but surely wrapping up, here’s a little round-up of how each team fared.
The U9s Reds matched last season’s imperious form, losing only one fixture all season with big hitting helping us over the line a number of time. The U9s blues gave out lots of debuts to budding new talents and were rewarded with a win percentage of >50% - a great improvement on last season.
The U11s finished 2nd in the Regional League (joint on points but with a lower Net Run Rate since you asked) and then carried that form on nicely into the Performance League where a record of 2 Wins and 2 Narrow Losses was more than respectable. It’s also been good to see Thomas, Kiki and Megan make their 11s Hardball debuts in fine fashion during the August Summer Cup.
The 13s had a strong Regional League showing and battled hard in the Performance League with several close games not quite going our way. A little more nous at key moments next season and the U13s look well set for a good year.
The U15s has a tough start to the season with long nights endured at both DSL and Woodhouses. James Starr’s charges bounced back well though in the Performance League winning 4 of there last 6 games to finish in a respectable 4th.
The U18s and U19s have battled weather, exams and freak accidents in their quest to get the game on. They’ve played most of their cricket in the last two weeks, with fixtures thrown in wherever there has been space. With two games remaining it’s an opportunity for minutes and the crease and overs in the legs before most of the team turn their attention to their remaining senior cricket endeavours.
