Mottram Cricket Club is pleased to confirm that Liam Wright has been elected as our new Club President.
Liam was unanimously voted in as Club President at the EGM held on Monday 29th January. This EGM was called following Allen Bouchier's decision to step down in December, after 39 years as Club President.
Liam has been at Mottram since 1997, having started out as a junior player. He's been a club stalwart ever since playing a key role on and off the pitch. He has previously held the 1st XI and 2nd XI captaincy positions.
Speaking at Monday's EGM, Liam said, "It an absolute honour to be Club President, and I am very proud to follow in the footsteps of Allen, who did a great job. I am looking forward to helping the club grow, and hope to be an approachable, open figure that people can come to with their ideas for our club.
The club is delighted Liam has been elected as Club President, and hope all members will join us in congratulating him.
