What better time to give an update on junior cricket and the upcoming season than when it’s snowing sideways outside?
In this update we cover everything topical and junior cricket related, including:
Players and Parents Meeting
We will be holding a pre-season meeting for all Under 9, 11, 13 and 15s players and parents on Sunday 26th March, at the club at 16.30.
Each age group coach will speak to the room, setting our their focuses and objectives for the season, and how they will work with their team.
It will also be an opportunity for us to introduce the new Nominated Junior Parents.
There will be a separate session for the Under 18s team, provisionally on Thursday 13th April.

Friday Night Training – Returns 7th April
With indoor training at Glossopdale finishing on Sunday 19th March, we are pleased to confirm that outdoor Friday training will return on Good Friday, 7th April at 6pm until 7.30pm.
As ever, Fridays will be for U9s through to U15s.
They remain FREE to members and £5 for non-members.
We are always looking for new players at all age groups, regardless of previous playing experience. Please spread the word. Newcomers get their first two sessions for free.
Junior Season – Confirmed First Fixture Dates
Our junior fixture lists are expected from the league in the next week or so, but they have confirmed that the season will start on Sunday 16th April, except the U9s category which starts a week later.
This means first fixtures for each age group are:
U19s T20 cup fixtures are normally released in June.
The girls team will again play mixed age Soft Ball fixtures. The first of these is currently diarised for Saturday 29th April, at home v Lindow.

We are making excellent progress on getting all consent forms done and dusted prior to the season.

All Stars
We are proud to be hosting All Stars for the first time ever, throughout May and June.
All Stars is an ECB run programme aimed at getting 4 to 8 year olds engaged with cricket.
It will be running at Mottram CC at 09.30am every Saturday from 6th May to 24th June.

Playing Kit and Leisurewear – Now Available!
Playing kit and leisurewear is now available on the fully stocked MCC online shop.
Adult and junior ranges are now in stock, including a new women’s training range.
The first order window will close on
Sunday 19th March, in order to allow time for kit to arrive before the start of the senior season on 22nd April.
